With donor support, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater was able to work with forty-eight different organizations last year to create dance, opera, and theater on our stage. Events like the Banff Mountain Film Festival, Cardinal Stage Company’s production of Mary Poppins, and the Indigo Girls concert brought together audiences of all types, resulting in nearly 50,000 visits by community members and 163 days of performances on our stage.
A contribution from you will expand our impact, allowing us to work with more organizations, engage more participants, and bring more opportunities for you to see great shows. Will you join us in supporting the theater today?
The BCT is a cultural & historical gem. I give to ensure that the theater is a vibrant asset for the community and a front door to the arts in Bloomington. — Catherine Dyar
An engaged community is a strong community, and the Buskirk-Chumley Theater plays a key role in bringing people together from all walks of life to express, share, and grow. Please give today, and help us build a community of connection through the experience of the Buskirk-Chumley Theater.

Save Your Seat
More than half of the armrests in the theater are already engraved with names of BCT supporters. Your name can be among them when you make a gift of $500 or more. You can also engrave an armrest in honor of someone else; they make wonderful wedding, anniversary, and birthday gifts.
Make a Gift Through Your Estate Plan
You can help to ensure that the BCT’s programming and services continue far into the future by including us in your estate plan. The two easiest options are listed here, but many more options are available. Consult your legal or financial adviser for more information.
Bequests: Giving to the BCT through your will or trust is one of the simplest ways to make an estate-plan gift. When making a bequest, you might want to use this sample language: I hereby leave [percentage of estate/dollar amount/residue of estate/percentage of residue] of my estate to BCT Management, Inc., a nonprofit corporation in Bloomington, Indiana (EIN: 35-2146138), to be used for the benefit of the organization in such manner as the Board of Directors may elect.
Retirement Beneficiary: Because retirement plan assets are subject to heavy taxation, they are popular for charitable giving. If your IRA, TIAA-CREF, 401k, or other qualified plan passes through your estate, your heirs must pay income tax as they receive distributions. As a tax-exempt organization, BCT Management, Inc. will benefit from 100% of your retirement asset donation. Consider leaving a percentage – from 1% to 100% – of your retirement assets to BCT Management, Inc. or naming BCT Management, Inc. as an alternative or contingent beneficiary on your plan.
