Spiced with sweet transvestites, mad scientists and a big chunk of Meat Loaf, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult phenomenon unlike any film or musical you’ve ever seen. The party begins with a “de-virginization ritual” 30 minutes before each screening. This initiation ceremony is fun for newbies and veterans alike. Prop bags will be sold at the door and there will be a cash bar before, during and between shows.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Cardinal Stage’s educational outreach programs including the Community Ticket Initiative which brought more than 1,500 underserved children and students to Cardinal Stage productions last year at no cost to these individuals, the Cardinal for Kids series of plays for young audiences, and the Student Matinee Program for local high school students. For more information about these vital programs, please visit cardinalstage.org/outreach.
*Please note that this a film screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, not to be confused with the live theatrical production of Rocky Horror Show which is also being presented at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater by the Indiana Memorial Union Board and University Players (Oct. 31-Nov.2).
