The Magnetic Fields

Those in the know might be familiar with The Magnetic Fields and their front man Stephin Merritt, who lives and works in New York City. Adept at computer music programming and production, Merritt records his own albums and plays almost everything on them with help from cellist Sam Davol, banjo player/second guitarist John Woo, and percussionist/ pianist Claudia Gonson.

Carrie Newcomer

Carrie Newcomer ‘s newest album Before and After is due to arrive in February of 2010. On March 6 she will grace her home town stage to introduce the album to our community during her album release concert.

This Halloween, Cardinal Stage invites you to Up To The Lab to See What’s On The Slab! It’s Cardinal’s 5th annual Rocky Horror Picture Show fundraiser at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, with shows Friday, October 31st at 8pm and Midnight.

Spiced with sweet transvestites, mad scientists, and a big chunk of Meat Loaf, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult phenomenon unlike any film or musical you’ve ever seen. The party begins with a “de-virginization ritual” a half hour before each show starts. This initiation ceremony is fun for newbies and veterans alike. Goodie bags will be sold at the door and there’ll also be a cash bar before, during, and between shows.

Rocky features a full floor show and a pre-show costume contest with terrific prizes!
