The Be More Awards program, in its 30th year, is a community-wide celebration of the outrageously awesome volunteer spirit that makes Bloomington special. Sponsored by the City of Bloomington Volunteer Network, the awards will honor 87 individuals and groups for outstanding community service. The ten Be More Award recipients will earn $500 each for the nonprofit organizations to which they devote their volunteer energy.

Co-sponsors include the City of Bloomington, Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, IU Credit Union, United Way of Monroe County, Bloomington Entertainment and Arts District, and WTIU Public Television.

The event is free and the public is welcome.
