The Buskirk-Chumley Theater is a renovated, historic movie house that was built in 1922. Restored to its previous grandeur by the Bloomington Area Arts Council with widespread community support, the theater is now managed by the private, non-profit organization, BCT Management, Inc.
Located in the heart of downtown Bloomington, the Theater is an ideal space to present music, theater, and dance. The beautiful interior and comfortable seating make it an ideal venue to hold fundraising or gala events. Perfect for corporate presentations, the BCT's ambiance adds history and culture to your company's image. Elegant and unique, the Theater can accomodate your wedding dreams.
With a capacity of 629 seats, the Buskirk-Chumley Theater offers ample space for an audience. The lobby and mezzanine are available for small receptions, book signings, or other activities that will make your event a success. The BCT offers technical assistance in the planning and execution of your event from the professional staff of the theater and regular announcements to the media regarding upcoming events.
