2012 was a year marked by a major milestone. The Buskirk-Chumley Theater building, originally known as the Indiana Theatre, celebrated its 90th anniversary. We would like to thank all of our patrons, donors, sponsors and community partners for reaching this milestone as a community.
Last year was also one of renewed success for the Theater. We would like to invite you to explore our results by reading our annual report, available online now.
We hope to see you soon at Bloomington's Community Theater

On rare occasion a show at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater sells out well in advance. This was true for Lyle Lovett’s acoustic appearance with his friend John Hiatt in February 2009. John Hiatt will not be there this time around, but there is no doubt Lyle Lovett will draw audiences from across the state (and maybe from across the state line). The Texan will be back on stage at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater for the second time on May 2, 2013.
The Buskirk-Chumley Theater is owned by the City of Bloomington and operated by BCT Management, Inc., a private non-profit organization. The mission of BCT Management, Inc. is to develop the Buskirk-Chumley Theater as a high quality and widely accessible community resource and performance venue, operated in a fiscally responsible manner. Support from the City of Bloomington, Indiana University, the Indiana Arts Commission, our many corporate sponsors and community donors helps maintain this historic community resource and bring a wide diversity of programming to the stage each year.
