The Hoagy Carmichael Festival is in its third great year celebrating the life and music of this Hoosier legend. The historic Buskirk-Chumley Theater stage is where Hoagland Carmichael and the Collegians played during the thriving1920s jazz scene. Bloomington is also home to the Hoagy Carmichael Room at Indiana University’s Archives of Traditional Music. The Hoagy Carmichael Festival honors this local beloved artist through jazz concerts and film showings.
